Written for West Space Journal 4, also performed as a table read for West Space Journal at NGV Book Fair, National Gallery of Victoria, May 3, 2015
Written on the occasion of West Space Journal 4, under the editorial impetus of 'What is a mining boom?', Heart of the Ocean is an adaptation of James Cameron's classic film Titanic. The text uses the original script with the addition of a few unlikely characters and their unbelievable truths as a context to visualise the socio-economic effect of mining wealth in Australia.
